My wife Natalia and I live in Starkville and we have a small son, Adam Forrest. We are a member of Kiwanis Int'l, attend First Presbyterian Church.
I started Pro-Tech because I had a lot of experience repairing and building houses and I wanted to have my own business. I especially enjoy finding problems that a lot of times save people thousands of dollars. I try to put a cost on defects that I find so the buyer can put the problems into perspective when making a decision about the house. You should also try to get a credit on the problems found in the inspection.
I use a 400+ point inspection checklist to guide me through the inspection. This always helps me be thorough in my inspection. I take a picture of all of the defects and include it in the back of the report for your convenience. I email the report to your realtor and to you if you will give me your email address. It is an Adobe Acrobat .pdf file so it should be easy for you to read. I already have most of the realtors email addresses and cell phone numbers on file.
I like to get paid at the time of the inspection. If you want to pay at closing there is a $75.00 upcharge and it has to be secured with a credit card. The average inspection costs about $295.00. I reduce the price for smaller homes or increase it for larger homes.
